@NetsDaily MPJ basically started at pf last yr. So a Watson or Minott easily starts next to him. And take a look at Minott substack scouting video and Wolves highlights. Shows more on ball chops than last yr. Been nice if HE had 30+ minutes to explore those skills.

@TonezSports @BrooklynNets MPJ is 8th in gravity metric, 6th in perimeter gravity. But quick trigger does it in a way where ball doesn't stop moving. Also, not as down on Clax as some. 3+ assists # could improve. And 30 yr Wagner didn't look good last yr, though more time from acl, maybe he improves.

@TonezSports @BrooklynNets Get the allure. And based on what Jordi did with MPJ, CamJohn, Schroeder, etc., think Randle will actually be very good this yr. But much rather have Jordi use those skills on younger upside players. And, we already have player who draws attention so young backcourt can operate

@NetsDaily But why did they have to choose. That archetype is coveted. Especially the way Jordi likes to play. Oh wait. Forgot. Giving 30+ minutes to a 32 yr old. No room. The Watsons, Williams of the world are type of players they should have pursued/kept.

Agree 100%. But would be nice 2 c staff that got career yrs out of MPJ, CamJohn, etal, 2 do that with youngsters.

Instead of adding a 32 yr old, could've raised floor with Minott 4 Clowney, MBJ 4 Mann, with replaced players available 4 bench

@GuruTwoey @PodThorn I think part of the problem was playing with KD/Kyrie. If memory serves, when Clax in gleague as rook, they were letting him play like a 3/4. But once he got 2 big club with those guys, got pigeon-holed in limited center type role.

@brooklynnets85 Agree 100% Lots been made about how well Randle going to do based on what Jordi did with MPJ CamJohn. Would have been to see what this staff could do with an Aldama, or any of the other low risk/salary, high upside guys that were available.

@BillyReinhardt Definitely agree with Jordi's coaching plus I'm sure Randle is hyped to be a #1 option again, Randle could have a big statistical yr. Best scenario is he goes nuclear, which leads to bidding war at the trade deadline.

@NetsDaily No, ranked about where they should. What's this team's identity. Adding Randle & Wagner, subtracting Clax, severely lessen rim protection/offensive rim pressure. What little we MAY gain in offense, give right back defensively!

@NetsDaily SMDH! To think that all these Nets fans believe adding a soon 2 b 32 yr ball stopper, whose slow in transition (offense and defense), turnover prone, not good in crunch time (check the #'s) player to a team that prefers to run a ball movement offense/pressure defense is beyond me
