Listen to what Saka just said, the players felt carried by the fans from before the game even started because of the way they were greeted on the coach into the ground.
Thatโs why @VP1897 are trying to create something for before the game on Thursday. We impact the players.

So I decided to take a look at Chelsea's accounts (#cfc) since @KieranMaguire posted about them and when you deep it just a bit? This is an absolute fucking disgrace to the integrity of the @premierleague and quite frankly should appall every football fan.
While Everton (#efc) & Forest (#nffc) got fucked with points deductions for modest PSR breaches, Chelsea have been allowed to run roughshod for multiple seasons thanks to a blatant structural loophole that the league happily turned a blind eye to.
Look at the reality: At the operating club level, Chelsea posted a Premier League-record ยฃ262.4m pre-tax loss for 2024/25. But thanks to clever internal accounting โ selling the womenโs team to a sister company inside the BlueCo group for nearly ยฃ200m, flogging hotels and a car park to themselves for tens of millions more in paper profit, plus full use of add-backs for academy, infrastructure and womenโs football โ they magically stayed comfortably inside the ยฃ105m three-year PSR limit. (Now granted this isn't a massive deal in the grand scheme of things because the nefarious nature of it all gets explained further down)
Meanwhile, lets take a look at (BlueCo 22 and HoldCo 22), which owns both Chelsea and Strasbourg.
The real economic picture is catastrophic: ยฃ630m loss in a single year, taking cumulative losses since the 2022 takeover to ยฃ1.675 billion - thatโs over ยฃ10.4 million burned every single week. Those holding company losses include the true cost of owner loans, interest, Strasbourg drag, and the fact that you canโt count selling something to yourself as genuine profit. But the Premier League only regulates the club entity, not the group. So none of that counts.
This isnโt financial sustainability. This is financial corruption on an industrial level to feed a machine designed to cheat the system. Chelsea have effectively been given a multi-year free pass to outspend almost everyone on the planet while rivals who couldnโt pull the same tricks got punished. The Premier league knew exactly what was happening with the associated-party asset sales and still signed it off (with only minor tweaks on valuation). And now? Theyโre quietly closing the stable door after the horse has bolted and galloped around the pitch a few times.
PSR gets replaced by the new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules from the 2026/27 season onwards. Chelsea get to keep all that artificial headroom from the internal sales and add-backs for one final year, giving them enormous breathing space to keep doing exactly what theyโve been doing - long contracts, deferred amortization, heavy spending - while the rest of the league is forced to adjust. It stinks of one rule for the super-rich owners with complex corporate structures, and another for everyone else.
The Premier League has spent years preaching FFP and competitive balance, yet allowed this circus to run unchecked for seasons. Everton fans, Forest fans, and supporters of clubs who actually tried to live within the spirit of the rules have every right to be furious. This wasnโt regulation. It was selective enforcement that let one club cheat the system in plain sight before the goalposts were finally moved.
The @premierleague needs to be fully investigated because there's no way those at the top didn't notice and there's no way that this shouldn't be considered an extreme breach, heads need to roll and clubs who've watched this whilst being punished for trying to be competitive should be calling up lawyers and bringing a case against the league and Chelsea.
There's still time to take part in our big VAR survey. Spare us a few moments this morning to tell us how you feel about the tech.

@prodnose People need to stop pretending this is about technology. Stockley Park created the conditions for match-fixing: central control, selective enforcement, zero accountability. Call it what it is.
Been at Villa Park today & witnessed the most farcical VAR decision Iโve ever seen! ๐ณ๐คทโโ๏ธ
The game was stopped for about 5 mins after Villa had equalized while a goal check was performed. Apparently they had to check whether the ball was millimeters out of play at the other end of the pitch near the corner flag in Villas defensive third. The linesman didnโt flag as he either couldnโt see or presumably thought the ball was hadnโt gone out.
Villa kept the ball in play, broke upfield & after some interplay round the box, scored.
But these days VAR, has to intervene to check absolutely EVERY tiny potential infringement of the rulesโฆ they seem to actively find reasons to disallow a goal!
Correct me if Iโm wrong but I thought VAR was brought in to clear up โclear & obviousโ errors. The decision to say the ball was millimeters out of play took a team of VAR operators in a control room somewhere approx 5/6 minutes to work out, with their umpteen camera angles & tech equipment! Is that clear & obvious?โฆ I hardly think so.
VAR is ruining the game.
Where does common sense come into play? If Villa had kept possession of the ball for longer with a slow patient build up of passes for a couple of minutes, then would VAR go right back to the incident? How many minutes do we go back ffs?
Where does it end? ๐ณ
Labour have announced a targeted ยฃ1.5bn cultural funding. Excellent. But will @BrumLeader@ShabanaMahmood and @RichParkerLab be getting any to CPO & save The Crown, The Electric or Central Methodist Hall in Birmingham?
The iconic venues. Closed & Rotting. One for @lisanandy?
Hi all @AVFCOfficial fans. A long shot but
Please could anyone help me find the season ticket owners of seats:
BLOCK C4 Row 1 numbers 122 and 123 really appreciate any help! Thank you ๐๐
