Reality check:
Pashinyan failed to win a majority of the vote.
Fell short of the two-thirds needed to change the Constitution.
Lost 7 seats compared to last election.
All while enjoying the advantages of state power, public sector control, and arresting basically everyone.
Armenia’s democracy is at risk because Western governments are more interested in pulling the country out of the pro-Russia camp than opposing prime minister Nikol Pashinyan’s autocratic efforts to unfairly tilt the electoral playing field in his favor. https://t.co/nGJvDaDuQx
On the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, California mourns the 1.5 million Armenians systematically massacred in 1915.
Armenians bravely forged ahead in the face of this unimaginable tragedy, seeking to build new lives across the world — including in California.
California is committed to the safety and well-being of this community and protecting all Californians from hateful acts and violence.
This Day of Remembrance, we continue to stand with and celebrate the Armenian people.
Today marks the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. As we honor the 1.5 million Armenians murdered by the Ottoman Empire across modern-day Turkey, Syria, and Armenia, we must refuse to let history repeat itself.
In 2020, the military forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey attacked the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2023, Azerbaijan expelled over 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, continuing the genocidal campaign that had begun over 100 years prior.
On this day of remembrance, we reaffirm the right of the Armenian people — and all people — to freedom, safety, and self-determination.
8 years after Armenia’s “Velvet Revolution” the Prime Minister and his government have managed to:
1. Lose a war.
2. Capitulate.
3. Lose Artsakh.
4. See 15O,000 get ethnically cleansed.
5. Arrest political opposition candidates.
6. Try to divide the Armenian Church.
7. Alienate the diaspora.
8. Prove that the “Dashnaks” were right about everything.
All the while turning Armenians into an endangered species.
On the anniversary of Armenia's Declaration of Independence, which hangs proudly today in EVN as fact & history, Pashinyan calls its ideas 'contradictory' & claims continuing the Karabakh movement meant abolishing Armenia's statehood. The Declaration is fact, not his to rewrite.
This is where I took my first steps, spoke my first words. Losing it is the worst pain I’ve felt—second to losing my 58 yr old dad just 3 years ago. He built it in 1988. With little time, I saved some tapes & albums. Not all, but some. 💔 @KNXNews#EatonCanyonFire#EatonFires
❗️The cultural genocide of Artsakh continues
The entire historical neighbourhood of Tumanyan street in Stepanakert has been razed to the ground. The continuous destruction of the Armenian heritage in Artsakh is yet another manifestation of the state-level Armenophobia in Azerbaijan, which the international community fails to condemn and prevent.
The Armenian government has confirmed that there is currently no opportunity to organize an evacuation of Armenians from Aleppo, which has fallen under the control of terrorist “rebel” groups. The Armenian Embassy in Syria has stated that it remains in close contact with Armenian citizens and Syrian authorities, with both the embassy in Damascus and the relocated Consul General from Aleppo operating in emergency mode. Despite the worsening situation, organized evacuation remains impossible at this time.
The ongoing violence has led to bread shortages in Aleppo, further complicating the humanitarian crisis. The Armenian Relief Society is working tirelessly to address the urgent needs of the community.
The Armenian Prelacy of Aleppo has also taken measures to support the community. An announcement published in the Syrian-Armenian Kantsasar newspaper urged all community members to remain indoors and stay calm during this dangerous time. Emergency contact numbers were provided for those in need of immediate assistance:
4443 999 | 4614510 | 2125696
The tragic death of Dr. Yervant Arslanian, an ethnic Armenian killed by a sniper on November 30 while attempting to leave Aleppo, highlights the dangers faced by the community.
While the Armenian government continues to explore all options for assistance, it has stressed that the current conditions make evacuation unfeasible. The embassy hotline (+963960003622) remains available for Armenians seeking urgent support.
Aleppo’s Armenian community, once a vibrant center of culture and refuge, now faces an uncertain and perilous future, with no clear path to safety.
Baku is hosting COP29, the UN climate conference. Yet, just outside the city, we filmed untreated waste flowing directly into the Caspian Sea.

❗️❗️❗️The large-scale destruction of Stepanakert by Azerbaijan continues in broad daylight. Entire neighbourhoods are wiped off the map just ahead of COP29 - @UN's Climate Change Conference. We call on the international community to boycott @COP29_AZ and Azerbaijan's Armenophobic dictatorship, which continues the genocide of Artsakh in real mode.
