For now. When climate change, partly from animal agriculture, ends up fracturing the global food system and trade, when droughts mean way less food to feed livestock, when states cant keep subsidising farmers, then you’ll basically end up vegan anyway
@slopmasterr False! It also gives me delicious food products, several clothing options, and animal products are used in the development of important medical technology that quite literally saves countless human lives. You can die mad about it but it remains true!
IT'S OFFICIAL: The NYC City Council just voted to ban horse-drawn carriages 🐴🎉
This cruel industry is finally on its way OUT, and PETA is pledging $50,000 to help the horses retire to greener pastures!
Good riddance 👋❤️
Hi, everyone! I'm still working hard on the Katana ZERO DLC.
We made it bigger. It's the size of a full sequel, plus a soundtrack of over 30+ new songs.
More updates to come. Thanks for your continued support!
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume Because a ridiculous amount of food in developed countries relies on having billions of animals and their derivatives as ingredients, and they need dense calories to gain mass. This is what i mean, we farm ridiculous amount of food just to filter its calories through meat
‘Man the way we talk about the need to enslave and slaughter animals sure has some similarities to the way people have justified human slavery and oppressive systems. Should probably look into that cognitive dissonance’
‘Bro are you calling minorities animals?!?’
I agree with like 80% of what vegans have to say about the meat industry and its ethical and ecological implications but this equating animals with minorities thing they do is never going to do anything but harm their message
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume The point is that without animals you dont have to farm as many soybeans because you arent having to constantly make soybean meal to feed animals. The only side issue is you dont produce as much soybean oil. Still havent answered why its ok to actively fund a climate driver btw
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume Im actually really curious, explain in your own terms why you think this determines my point as being incorrect, because I’m actually convinced your either an illiterate teenager or a bot
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume This image proves my point, what do you think the 44% of exports goes towards. Feeding animals you dumbass, it doesn’t disprove the fact we waste 80% of soybeans on animals for less returns in calories whilst also polluting the earth and eventually killing humans
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume Lmao i think you’re just coping because you never wanna think about what your decisions could possibly support. Like its one thing to micromanage and exhaust yourself trying to minimise your carbon footprint, but you cant even reduce your meat intake? Are you that pathetic?
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume Two things can be bad at once dumbass, no vegan is saying what we do for palm oil is good, youre just moving the goal posts to “if vegans care about the climate, why dont they also think about non-animal stuff?”. They do, youre just too scared to admit you dont gaf
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume Like i understand you’ll never be convinced on the ethics of animal slaughter, thats fine because many wont, but genuinely what excuse is there when the impacts of animal agriculture will boomerang back on us all eventually anyway
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume Ok then, moral posturing how, explain how you can justify an objectively massive cause of climate change, which will kill millions over the next few decades.
@pavfver@spinelpompom@Rengiyuu_yume You’re not winning the argument dumbass, all you’ve done for days is as dumb rhetorical questions that make no sense and then going LMAOOOOO, Im more concerned we’ve probably been arguing with a 14 year old this whole time
I never get how the same people who understand that systemic white supremacy and bigotry reach into every corner of society in a million different ways both seen and unseen are the same people who suggest that having been bigoted at some point is the an unforgivable moral sin
Its basically the same as people who accept the systemic prevalence of bigotry above and then go “but I, the main character of the universe, have never once had a controversial or reactionary view in my life. Everything I’ve ever done was based on reason and empathy!”
