Tesla & SpaceX's New Product Is Elon's Bet Of A Lifetime
Thank you @DavidCarbutt_ and team for the excellent edit.

Fake News Blues is back!
By popular demand, I’ve updated my viral video to reflect recent events: Trump has now banned CNN, MSNBC, Politico, and Kaitlan Collins personally, from the White House.
So let’s celebrate with the song that perfectly fits the occasion.🎉🎉🎉

With the new Tesla Roadster unveil now set for October 1, I went back and cut together the best bits from the OG 2017 reveal.
⠀
If you’ve forgotten just how ridiculous this car sounded, watch this.
⠀
Elon said it would be “the fastest production car ever made, period.” And all of this was the BASE model:
⠀
• 0–60 mph in 1.9 seconds
• 0–100 mph in 4.2 seconds
• ¼ mile in 8.9 seconds
• 250+ mph top speed
• 620 miles of highway-speed range
• 200 kWh battery
• 10,000 Nm of torque
• Three motors: one front, two rear
• All-wheel drive with torque vectoring
• Four seats
• Removable roof
• Loads of storage
⠀
He said it three times: “This is the base model.”
⠀
That was before we knew about the SpaceX package: roughly 10 cold-gas thrusters to improve acceleration, braking, cornering and top speed, taking the place of the rear seats and potentially allowing the car to briefly fly.
⠀
By 2024, Elon was saying 0–60 mph in under one second would be “the least interesting part.”
⠀
A huge amount of the original formula has already arrived in the Model S Plaid: tri-motor AWD, two rear motors with torque vectoring, carbon-wrapped motors, 0–60 in 1.99 seconds and a 9.23-second quarter mile, in a large five-seat family car.
⠀
Of course, the rest of the industry hasn’t stood still. The Rimac Nevera R now does 0–60 in 1.66 seconds and the quarter mile in 7.90. The Yangwang U9 Xtreme has been clocked at 308.4 mph.
⠀
So the original 2017 figures alone are no longer enough.
⠀
But knowing how far the design goals have moved, and seeing what Tesla already delivered with Plaid, I still have a high degree of confidence the finished Roadster will be the fastest production car ever made.
⠀
308.4 mph is the number to beat.
President Trump calls Jensen mid-interview at the All-In Summit to say AI taking over the world is a hoax
Jensen: "Mr. President? I've got to tell you something. If it wasn't because of you calling, I would... I'm on stage with the besties."
Trump: "You see, the great thing about life is that Jensen can develop the most complex computer chip in the world that nobody can copy for 10 years, but he can't figure out how to put me on speaker."
"So, the AI, it's almost a conspiracy, and the happiest group is China, they're very happy."
"I'm telling you, it's all a hoax. The data centers are great and they make people wealthy and they make states wealthy and it's the oil of the next 20, 25 years. It's bigger than the Internet."
"The robots are not going to be taking over the world and that's not going to happen. The AI will not be taking over the rest of the world. The whole thing is a hoax."
"Now, with that, we have to be a little bit careful, but that doesn't mean we're going to stop an industry. So I'm with you all the way."
🚨 What if Tesla’s next big product isn’t actually a car, but a subscription to the whole Tesla network?
Instead of deciding between owning a Model Y or calling a Robotaxi every day, imagine paying one monthly fee and getting Robotaxi rides, priority access, charging, insurance, FSD, connectivity, and entertainment bundled together!
Need more space for a weekend trip? Grab a Model Y. Just heading to work? Take a Cybercab.
It’s basically Amazon Prime for transportation.
And that could be the bigger play. Tesla doesn’t sell you one car and wait years for you to buy another.
It sells you access to mobility every single month. $TSLA
I just sat in a car with nothing in front of me.
No steering wheel. No pedals. No mirrors.
Spotless. Drove better than any human.
Houston, you’re next.
Thank you @Tesla@elonmusk@robotaxi
FSD Supervised v14.3.9 starting to roll out shortly
This release includes a new active safety feature set: FSD Supervised can now activate on your behalf when an imminent collision is detected and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) may not be enough.
It may also engage if we detect you’re heavily distracted or have accidentally disengaged FSD
