The reason why he act differently than teenage Shirou is, well, he's not a teenager anymore. He is Emiya Shirou who has grew bitter.

Archer is Shirou from a route that is similar to Fate but he failed to save Saber. Hence more gung ho to becoming Hero of Justice.
