Picking up some new followers as we get closer to March and just want to note I don't really have the time to engage on this account like I used to. I still enjoy making bracket updates, but may not quick to reply now. @bearcatbunch will be happy to argue seeding with you though!
Waking up to a top 3 position in the @bracketproject was an unexpected surprise!
To be honest I really haven't had time to put much into this the last few years as my professional career has consumed more of my time, but I've also recorded 3 of my best scores in the last 4 yrs.
I think the main key is keeping it fun. I have very little interest in building a brand out of this, which makes the partnership with @bearcatbunch ideal. At the end of the day, I'm trying to predict what a group of other people who provide zero transparency will do.
The Bracket Matrix 5-year rankings have been updated for 2026.
After a 2nd place finish this season, @Mike_Broman1 takes over the top spot.
@BracketDom, @SluderBrackets, @mcheerwx and bracksketblogs round out the top 5.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Miami OH is a 10, wouldn’t be surprised if they’re left out.
If they are in, they’ll set a ton of new precedents for at large resume.

🫧 Cincinnati, SMU, IU, Auburn, New Mexico, VCU, Cal and VT all play ROAD games this weekend
🗒️ Bearcats need to win their next 2 to have a really good shot on Selection Sunday, a loss @ TCU would require a big run in B12 Tourney

@kevinherbers Totally agree. Unfortunately the committee loves to find one thing to fixate on every year. My guess is they think WAB levels the field for mid majors, but if that’s the case it shouldn’t be wins above the bubble. Teams with very few wins against the field have the highest WAB!
Working on today's update and struggling to understand how teams with very few wins against the projected field have such a high WAB. Santa Clara is 1-5 versus the projected at large field but has a WAB of 1.45 along with a loss to Loyola Chicago.

Final Bracket
📈 Sluder Bracketology is now the 6th rated Bracketologist in all of BracketMatrix after scoring a 368 this year
🔴 Maybe next year will be the first year he can select his Cincinnati Bearcats for the first time 🙁
WOW! Moved up to 6th on the @BracketMatrix! Not something I really thought was possible. The last few years as I’ve advanced in my career I’ve had less time to do Bracketology, and as a result, never really move out of the 10-20 ranking area.
The thing that always was most important to me was consistency. It is impossible to predict what the committee will do every year, but I’ve felt like my process has endured many changes, new metrics, etc. to remain consistently one of the top brackets.
My *unofficial* count is 368, my second best. I cannot believe WVU got left out and two teams with 1 Q1 win got in.
I think for the first time I got 12-16 perfect though
