ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a fatal crash along Wilson Boulevard that occurred on the afternoon of January 27, 2025.
At approximately p.m., police and fire were dispatched to the report of a crash with injuries involving multiple vehicles. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Wilson Boulevard at a high rate of speed when they struck a white sedan as it turned onto Wilson Boulevard from N. Vermont Street. As a result of the impact from the initial crash, the vehicles struck two additional vehicles stopped at the traffic light at Wilson Boulevard and N. Glebe Road.
The drivers of the pickup truck and the sedan were transported to an area hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the sedan, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver of the pickup truck, an adult male, remains hospitalized with critical injuries.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.
