@xsteenbrugge Agreed, I also noticed Fable was way more jargon heavy and dense in its explanations than opus 4.8 or any prior version was when I hit a sentence I only knew about 50% of the words in.
@StartupBros@jturntdev pretty much just that, apparently workflows in ultracode mode will inherit the model of the chat unless you/claude specify a model, so basically instructed claude to intentionally select the model for the task, rather than letting all inherit fable 5 which was destroying usage
@MaxAntoneMusic@jturntdev I would definitely go fully fable if I could get through any significant chunk of things before blowing my usage but ultracode makes that basically impossible lmao
@ClaudeDevs solid improvement but idk about "very few false positives" - very few relative to what?
I don't think there's a single project I've worked on that didn't get downgraded at least once during a session
@babayagatwt I see more people using AI images for things like youtube thumbnails, product images, marketing etc every day. I guess you can argue those people weren't going to hire a designer anyways, but hard to say.
@jumperz or just use fable for planning and opus for implementing and you can keep it all in one session. handoff docs are legit though, context is transient, if it's worth remembering it's worth writing down in repo.
Iโve been using Fable 5 in ultracode mode and found out unless specified, it defaults the model for all the workflow agents to the current session model, so it was spinning up over a dozen Fable 5 subagents and blowing through usage.
After learning that and instructing Claude to make a judgement call on the level of intelligence needed per subagent/workflow task it has helped somewhat and itโs using more appropriate models for the task.
@mattshumer_ Carl Sagan once said,
"If you wish to create a GTA-VI-caliber open-world game with a quality and scope surpassing what is shown in the initial trailers, you must first invent the universe."
ok claude now /loop until you've created the universe
