@Marion436842126 There are actually very few good, simple resources that you can give to them that explain that sugar is bad. I don't think he'll listen to a biohacker podcast. They all think cholesterol in arteries = stop cholesterol.
@Marion436842126 My Dad has this right now. His doctor didn't test him for liver issues or muscle damage, just shifted him to another cholesterol lowering product. No CAC, no diet advice. I hope his pain improves. So hard watching the seniors take this crap instead of eating right.
The ppl posting online seem to spend all of their time online, looking for the most extreme, outlying examples of everything, without having enough life experience to know whether it is largely representative or not.
It is a bad study! I am shocked at how many are promoting it. Here are my comments sent to HHS earlier today:
This is WEAK evidence for relying on one dose of doxy. It wasn’t blinded, they lost over half the participants (only 1,689 of 3,538 analyzed), & outcome was mostly “physician-confirmed” early EM rashes, not proven infection or chronic infection.
Absolute benefit was tiny (~2% risk reduction) & it ignores other tick-borne infections. As someone who know a ton of pts who developed chronic Lyme despite “prophylaxis,” I (and my top expert MD) would NEVER recommend it. Joe Burrascano talks abt how one dose only forces Lyme into cyst form. It may suppress EM in some cases but fails to stop actual infection. Bottom line: this study should not be promoted!! Feel free to send or share my comments.
@MaryBowdenMD@US_FDA This Fauci-era science. Talk to all the sick people out there who got their single dose of Doxy and spent the next few decades being told "it's all in your head". Also, so few actually get the rash and know they are bitten. Doxy is useless once the spirochete has disseminated.
@danaparish Well it is good but is there any actual change to the research, testing, diagnostic criteria? I hear tick prevention, a database to tell people who LLDs are.. but pts need to know they have it first with an affordable test, before they know they even need a LLD.
