Twitter is the canary in the coal mine for where social media is heading. Right now the algorithm is getting gamed to only serve slop and engagement bait. Nothing organic trends anymore. If this is the trajectory for every social platform, the only moves left are gated, paid feeds or a retreat back to smaller circles of people you actually know. Neither sounds great.

@mcuban Already happening. Email platforms have been fighting spam for years, so scaling agent outreach is not as simple as spinning up hundreds of bots. You would need hundreds of legitimate accounts, strong sender reputation, and constant maintenance.
