@dintdantdont you know i don’t think you have to apologize. i think it’s important when discussing an author to acknowledge their track record, especially when it’s ugly. i don’t think you were wrong at all. stimulating ideas is important, but part of doing so is acknowledging the history.
it’s #NationalComingOutDay and i wanted to hop on and say that it doesn’t matter if you’re out to everyone or just close friends or your therapist or yourself or your internet pals or your grandma — no matter what, you and your queerness are valid and loved. 🏳️🌈
@midtownmogul1 i’ve literally gone in places with the lesbian flag and people have still been oblivious. i don’t know what it is but something about me is very un-lesbian and it is infuriating
will never forget people calling me a “nasty bulldyke lesbian” or “purple-haired communist” on parler because this is the most ambitious color i’ve ever dyed it and i always have to explain to people i’m a lesbian when i go to gay bars
