Chae Seo An mentioned IU during her round interview today.
“She’s still as warm as ever. I gave her a bookmark for her birthday, and she said, ‘I haven’t done anything for you, so why do you keep giving me things?’ But she has done so much for me. She’s given me something incredibly big. We got to work together, and I received so much love because of it. I was so grateful, and I told her that.”
“In Perfect Crown, we were family, so there was a very close and comfortable atmosphere on set. I think I'll remember that set for a long time. She also told me she'd invite me to her concert.”
Cha Seo An said, “I’ve had a connection with IU sunbaenim since When Life Gives You Tangerines. Back then too, we talked a lot while building scenes together, so meeting her again and acting face to face felt really strange in a good way. Even though the project and the time period were different, it strangely felt like I had been reborn.” (laugh)
She continued, “‘In Perfect Crown, there weren’t many scenes where I could take the lead, but IU sunbaenim still came up with a lot of ideas so I could stand out more and carefully matched the rhythm with me.” She added, “The hospital room scene stands out the most for me.”
Speaking about reuniting with IU, Chae Seo An joked, "It had been about three years since filming When Life Gives You Tangerines ended before I saw her again, so it was nice to meet her once more on the sofa."
She continued, "Sunbaenim (IU) is still as warm as ever, and she still brings such positive energy to the set. What I want to take after about her is the energy she brings to work on set. Her energy on stage is incredible as well, isn’t it? It’s on a completely different level from mine. Seeing her again after When Life Gives You Tangerines felt like being reincarnated. We didn’t talk much, but I could feel the gratitude and happiness of seeing each other again through our eyes."
Previously, IU had spoken about Cha Seo An in an interview, praising her by saying, “I think she’ll be loved a lot more and more in the future,” also referring to her as her “IU pick,” showing her affection. In response, Cha Seo An said, “I was really grateful, and it made me want to work even harder. I’m someone who is never fully satisfied with my own skills, so when I hear things like that, it just makes me think I still have a lot to improve and I should do better.”

[NEWS] 260620 AAA Interview: Actress Moon Sori Reflects on Her First Impression of “When Life Gives You Tangerines” Cast and Deep Affection for IU
Recalling the cast’s first meeting, Moon So-ri said, “I was a little worried at first because I’m not very familiar with idols and don’t really have close connections with musicians. I wondered if I might feel awkward. But when I got there, our team members were all spread out on both sides, and it made me feel incredibly reassured.”
She also expressed her affection for IU, who carried much of the responsibility at the center of the production. “It must have been an enormous burden for Ji-eun as well. There was even talk about the drama’s huge production budget, so everything must have weighed heavily on her.
But whenever I saw her on set, I found myself wondering where all that energy came from. She remained steadfast and never wavered. I still vividly remember her determined and unwavering gaze.
Actor Park Hae-joon and I would always say to Ji-eun, ‘It must be tough, it must be tough,’ and worry about her like actual parents would. We constantly felt concerned about how hard she was working,” Moon So-ri said.

The Symbolism of the Chickens in Korean Wedding
🐓The Rooster: Symbolizes a fresh start and courage, as its morning crow is believed to ward off evil spirits and misfortune.
🐓The Hen: Represents fertility and the wish for the newlyweds to have many children.

IU doesn't sue those freaks solely for her own sake, but mostly for Uaena and the people who work with her...
I might sound weird for saying this...
But whenever she shows the public that she will never go easy for those freaks, that's just so Hot of her and to me that somehow romantic..

Sulli’s fans have also released a statement calling out her biological brother for exploiting her memory and spreading false rumors about her close celebrity friends. They noted he did the exact same thing 5 years ago for clout before cutting ties. Let her rest in peace. 🕊️jebal!!!
"Hello, we are fans of the late Sulli.
Recently, we have become aware that many articles and controversies are arising in relation to our (late) Sulli. To be honest, we do not even want her to be mentioned in this kind of situation, and we feel extremely upset about what her older brother wants, and how he keeps causing harm by repeatedly bringing up other celebrities. Therefore, we would like to address and examine the various current controversies.
First, 5 years ago, her older brother similarly used the (late) Sulli to mention other celebrities and draw "aggro" (bait attention), which caused a controversy. However, he apologized back then, saying it was all done just to get attention, stated that he had cut ties with Sulli a long time ago, and went into hiding.
[https://t.co/ZZF2AxVNij] If you look at this article, the entire breakdown of that incident is detailed. Yet, seeing him repeat the exact same thing again now is truly incomprehensible, and we sincerely hope he stops doing this.
Second, regarding the script for [the movie] Real, a rumor is spreading that another celebrity delivered it, but you will know the truth if you look at the official statement regarding this incident, which confirms that the director of Real delivered the script to the agency. Furthermore, the older brother's claim itself simply does not hold up/make sense.
Third, you are also spreading a rumor that another celebrity recommended a psychiatric hospital, but please stop. That psychiatric hospital was an institution connected to her former agency, which is a fact you will realize if you look into it. We don't know if it is appropriate to say this right now, but the celebrity you mentioned is someone who looked after our Sulli incredibly well and truly cherished her, so we are deeply grateful to them. Please do not tarnish that friendship.
Fourth, regarding the (late) Sulli's dating life, we believe that bringing up another celebrity and talking about her past relationships shows an attitude that completely disregards the deceased. Our Sulli would not want this. We believe this is behavior that a biological brother absolutely should not engage in.
We want to ask the older brother: What on earth is your goal in constantly bringing up the deceased, and what do you stand to gain by causing harm to other celebrities by mentioning them?
Lastly, we do not want the deceased to keep being brought up in this situation, and we hope that the spreading of malicious comments and false information regarding this matter will be prohibited and stopped."

Finally, a voice of sanity. Media Today published a brilliant defense of the drama, and it completely exposes the flaws in the "distortion" narrative.
The show is literally titled 21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife (大군부인). The male lead is a Grand Prince (son of a KING), not an Imperial Prince. The world-building consistently established a modern surviving Kingdom, not an Empire.
Demanding a 12-string imperial crown for a King makes zero internal sense. The 9-string crown and "Cheonse" are completely consistent within the writer’s fictional timeline. It’s a creative AU choice, not a national crisis. Media Today is spot on: weaponizing "historical distortion" to cancel art is total overkill. 👑📰

[INTERVIEW ③] 260519 Director Park Joon-hwa Praises IU for Her Multidimensional Acting in Perfect Crown
Park Joon-hwa: “When I first read the early scripts, I thought Huiju could come across as a villainess. While female characters in old romance comics were often obedient and dependent, Huiju was someone who pursued her desires and tried to push things in the direction she wanted.
When someone like that even tries to enter into a contract marriage, I believed her desires needed to be expressed in an extreme way. Some viewers may have felt it came across very strongly, but I personally discussed the direction with IU. I told her that rather than portraying the character as simply strong, I wanted there to be a strangely clumsy side to her, someone who faithfully follows her desires. I thought it would be good to emphasize the emotions she expressed in each moment. Otherwise, I felt the viewers might find it suffocating.
I think IU’s acting in the early part of the drama gave the series a lot of strength. She softened many aspects that could otherwise have felt overly intense. I laughed especially often during filming because I felt IU was delivering a more multidimensional performance than I had even envisioned.
As the story progresses into the latter half, Huiju changes from someone focused solely on her own goals and desires into a person who connects with others and transforms emotionally. In the end, it becomes clear that more than the status and honor she had been greedy for, what she truly wanted was to be loved. I think viewers felt even more emotional when those changes were shown in detail. She portrayed the character’s complexity very well.”
