Von der demokrat. Politik wird erwartet, jede Zusammenarbeit mit der AfD klar auszuschließen.
Is Greta Thunberg anti-Semitic, or just incredibly naive? Her comments in Amsterdam last weekend left little doubt as to where she stands on the Middle East conflict. The iconic activist's actions now threaten to divide the climate movement and the left. https://t.co/rcYk57Pe1o
As the world mourns Tony Bennett, the incredible vocalist, one should honor the fact that Tony was among the young men that liberated Dachau, playing a part in saving the lives of thousands of Jews, including Elie Wiesel, R Lau, and many more.
May his family & fans find comfort.

The number of solar panel systems in Germany hit three million on Monday (29 May), with total solar PV installed capacity reaching more than 70 gigawatts (GW), according to industry association BSW Solar. With this capacity, the country can cover over 10 percent of its electricity demand with solar PV panels. On Saturday (27 May), solar output also reached a record high of 40,919 megawatts (MW), according to data from the European Energy Exchange AG, Bloomberg reported. "Under the impact of the energy crisis and as a result of improved framework conditions, the demand for solar technology has risen sharply," BSW executive director Carsten Körnig said. "Solar energy is booming, especially among private households." The number of solar panels commissioned on private homes this quarter more than doubled compared to the same period last year, according to the association.

One of the most distinctive (and delightful) features of the platform is its series of abstract, highly textural maps of (East) Berlin.
Speaking of Soviet War Memorials - did you know there are actually 12 of them in Berlin? Most people only ever see 2 out of the 3 "Big 3" (Tiergarten, Treptower Park, Schönholzer Heide) but the other 9 are well worth a visit

"You can find shady nooks in between tree roots, bathing areas that aren’t as mad as at the Teufelssee, and meadow banks where you can spread a picnic blanket. The water laps at the edges of the shore, the water-grass rustles, and the horizon opens up."
