@___AbdullahF@burntoutviz@WarzoneAlerts Terrible philosophy. If that's your logic then UE5 is the same 28 year old engine and Bethesda's creation engine is the same 15 year old engine. The updates are typically a huge overhaul. Yes they're the same original core but it gets super reworked and drastically updated.
@Acrux_Red@blank_man88@wrathchildbl@insomniacgames Steam didn't "kill" anything. It just exposed and made more convenient what the average gamer wanted. I say average because of course not everyone likes digital/has good enough Internet for that.
@ThorgrimStlfist@GamesDoneQuick Yeah, brother man, if those beliefs include stripping away human rights from certain groups then I fear it's a little more than just "beliefs."
@EmigJared@Pirat_Nation I am pretty sure Nintendo introduced a pretty neat system for the Switch 2 to address this issue. They allow you to "eject" a game from your digital library to allow you to loan it to someone else to play temporarily! One huge caveat is this is limited to Nintendo family members.
@HoehleJesse@Pirat_Nation While your statement is partially true, it isn't as bad as you say. Around 70-80% of physical PS5 releases are entirely playable from the disc without any downloads. Xbox Series S | X on the other hand is around 30-40% of them due to Microsoft's Smart Delivery system.
@SteveRudzinski@MadmanFanatic@DiscussKing@supernalmystic@Dexerto It's not stealing because there is nothing physical to steal. You are not taking something from someone that other people could have paid for. If I, theoretically, pirated a game it changes nothing because, odds are, if it was worth buying to me I would have bought it.
@HurricanePL2@38degrescelsius@BadKarmaLucky I am *not* excusing borderlands 4's terrible performance, but people magically want to pretend Stalker 2 isn't an utter trashcan of a game performance wise. I would argue even with everything Stalker 2 performs worse frametime wise than BL4. I can't force myself to sit thru S2.
