Stop using options as a lottery tickets. Use them as wheelbarrows instead.
Most people are wildly unprofitable with options, because they buy far out of the money, and don't buy enough time. For most people, over a long period, OTM 0DTEs & weeklies won't consistently make you significant amounts of money, and even if you get lucky, you won't be taking them with enough size.
Once you start using options as tool to maximize buying power across multiple opportunity sets, with some conservative rules about moneyness & expiration (sub 75% IV, and ITM/ATM or less than 10% OTM, 3+ months out) the game changes.
@JonahLupton@ParadisLabs again i dont pay much attention to the AH price action since the stock can gap up or down at the open fwiw. with the stock up 150% quarter-to-date, i was expecting a much larger beat to justify increasing my position. also the guided rev gotta grow 100% before i buy more.
@JonahLupton@ParadisLabs i dont pay much attention to the AH price and i prefer to buy during the market hours. i'd like to see the return to the triple digit revenue growth if i'm currently seeing these multiples.
@LogicalThesis are you gonna change your approach based on this? i stopped selling all my winners and i now just sell into weakness and my returns have gotten a lot better
@JonahLupton@ParadisLabs i personally didn't like the guide. i will not be adding if the market reacts negatively tomorrow, signalling more downside in the near term.
