NEW: Driverless car calls the police on 2 teen passengers after it reports them for drinking alcohol and shooting a toy gun out of the window while being driven around.

The San Mateo Police Department in California arrested the 15-year-olds after the driverless car company WAYMO contacted them about the teens drinking underage and shooting Orbeez water pellets out of the window.

“While there was some ingenuity to this scheme, toy guns, water guns, and BB guns all pose real dangers, especially to an untrained eye. Simply handling them can cause fear in passersby or in those who don’t get a good look. Shooting projectiles at speed can cause real damage. And let’s not forget the underage drinking.
