So excited to be here in San Francisco for the upcoming #WCNExpo . I am teaming up with the @smallwildcats to talk about the underrated small felids and Pallas’s cat in particular. Be sure to join the conversation @wildnetorg
Harrison Ford’s closing message at @GCAS2018 : “For God’s sake, stop electing leaders who don’t believe in science. Or even worse, pretend they don’t believe in science” for political self-interest. “Never forget who you’re fighting for.”

Our boys are in @TheAtlantic!
A provocative theory holds that city life is challenging urban animals to become smarter than their rural counterparts. @PaulBisceglio chased down a mysterious wild Cat in Sri Lanka to investigate: https://t.co/uK2eiHfoFi
A female #Pampascat? and this is not in the Andes?
This little female was our third pampas cat capture in the #Sechuradesert! Unfortunately, with only 1.65 kg we couldn't fit her with a GPS collar. #wildlife#pampascatconservation
An interviewee demonstrating how an #AfricanGoldenCat was trying to ambushing and attack his goat, before he came to the goat’s rescue. Only 5/24 households loose their livestock/poultry to AGC and other #wildlife!

Like sauropods, large living herbivorous reptiles such as Galapagos tortoises eat plants without benefit of chewing. An inner “fermentation tank” in the gut holds food for up to 11 days, giving bacteria plenty of time to break food down and extract its energy.
Listed as Least Concern the Serval occurs widely through sub-Saharan Africa, with the exception of tropical rainforests and the Saharan desert. It specializes in preying on small mammals, birds, reptiles and arthropods. Major threats include wetland habitat loss and degradation.
The caracal, Caracal caracal, is listed as Least Concern in the #IUCNRedList. Its geographical distribution covers a wide range of environments, and it is subject to different pressures and threats that vary in extent and severity, resulting in different local population trends.
Did the last #AfricanGoldenCat change colour? Or are we just amazing at Photoshop? Nope! The AGC is actually one of the 11 melanistic wild cat species found around the world!
