Mr. Parekh did not increase his personal stake in HDFC ltd thru esops ( Ref to link attached- Menaka's intv with Mr Parekh 2023.)
But when it came to HDFC’s stake in HDFC Bank, he was very clear about maintaining it. He never allowed HDFC’s stake to fall below around 20%. That was a deliberate position maintained by HDFC right up to the merger.
That is the difference in philosophy. There are people who, when they quit or exit, sell everything for their personal benefit. Mr. Parekh’s approach was very different, he always believed in creating and sharing wealth with the larger HDFC family benefitting staff at the lowest possible incl office boys. If he wanted he could have allowed himself to take larger share of ESOPs by limiting it only to middle and sr employees and not all staff as per the general practice across most corporates.
@VishalBhargava5 Well said Vishal. It is extremely sad to see a beautiful city not growing / progressing the way it should have been. The real difference is ALSO made by the citizens and in this case they allowed the system to have their way.

@CMOMaharashtra@Dev_Fadnavis@NBTMumbai It was a fantastic evening, where industrialists turned poets and story tellers while legends poets had to create space for them .
To listen to Shiva in Hindi was special as the environment created at the event probably left no choice. Thank you
@Truemedsindia u guys while accepting orders are so efficient that in a few min ur doctor calls to advice and confirm but when there is a problem the min time required to respond is 24 hrs . Not surprising though as customer loyalty is something ur promoters don't care
Can Abhinandan Lodha be the dark horse of Mumbai real estate?
After selling land, he wants to now sell buildings.
Whether he succeeds or not, time will tell. But he will certainly disrupt the market.
