Can you please enlighten us on why 127 cuts were recommended for the film Panjab '95?

The same film, now renamed ‘Satluj’, has been taken down from an OTT platform in less than two days. The CBFC has no jurisdiction over OTT platforms or international releases.

Panjab '95 tells the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a man who exposed documented human rights abuses and paid for it with his life. If a film based on documented facts cannot be seen by Indian audiences, then the public deserves to know why.

This sends a very direct message to filmmakers and production companies: if you're paying homage to a great personality from a minority community, you'll have to face the CBFC.

Journalists should be asking the people running this censor board some hard questions. Why are some politically insensitive films able to pass with ease while others spend years in limbo?

A red carpet for Kashmir Files, Bengal Files, and Kerala Story. Roses for Dhurandar 1 & 2, a fictional documentary/explainer for the unthinkable and the unexplainable.

How does it feel to feast on four years of a director's career?

In Nehru's India, this would have been litigated in court. If filmmakers cannot tell the stories of people who stood up for justice without years of obstruction, what kind of cinema are we encouraging them to make?

What kind of society are we building when an elder, a grandfather who should be teaching empathy actively trains the next generation to commit horrific acts of violence?

The disturbing footage out of Palwal shows a grandfather driving a scooter while a young child is forced to carry a defenseless community dog away to be harmed. This isnt just a crime against animals; it is active psychological damage inflicted on a child.

Research consistently proves the link between childhood animal abuse and severe antisocial behavior later in life.

By forcing children into daily routines of cruelty, this family is warping their mental health, desensitizing them to suffering, and injecting toxicity right into our community.

When elders act as handlers for cruelty, they fail as guardians and become a threat to public safety. We cannot look away.

Urgent intervention is needed to break this cycle, protect these animals, and safeguard the psychological well-being of these kids.

This old man is Hari Sharma. He is a habitual abuser and killer who picks up dogs from the locality with the help of his grandson and throws them into the river. His entire family is involved in this. The evidence has been attached. Both of them shouldn’t be in society.

We request @police_haryana to take action against this family. Society doesn’t need them. If there are any dog bites reported from that area, this family should be held responsible and accountable. If anyone from this family gets bitten, medical service should be refused by the government.
