Trust me, no McMansion would exist if the US didnt have the landmass for it.
I do have healthcare and a pension though, like everybody else in NL. Paid by higher taxes

In Flevoland en Drenthe staat nu ruim 5x zoveel zonPV vermogen als de gemiddelde stroomvraag. In zes andere provincies is dat ruim 3x.
Vanaf 2x begint het 'te kraken'. Boven 3 wordt de situatie 'kritiek', want enorme overschotten moeten worden afgevoerd, waardoor de netten 'vol' raken.
Ondertussen subsidieert de NL overheid (via de SDE) de groei van zon 'in Drenthe' nog altijd ruimhartig en toont zich verbijsterd als vervolgens netcongestie toeneemt.

Tijdens het opruimen kom ik deze tegen: de CD-foongids van KPN telecom. Alle namen, adressen en telefoonnummers van iedereen in NL met een aansluiting in 1999 keurig op CD rom voor 79 gulden. #privacy was toen echt geen ding.
Goed of slecht, wat kunnen tijden toch veranderen.

The fist amendment you refer to is an amendment to the US constitution. ALL European democracies have the same rights in their constitution.

@adamtaggart The U.S. has a long history of blockading international waters. Including the straight of Hormuz in this current conflict so get of your high horse.
But in better times the U.S. would at least make an effort to publicly "sell" the reasoning to the public of the free world before.
