@GBNEWS DROP THE STANDING CHARGE on all Utilities, putting up interest rates does not lower inflation!
The Big Boys are making massive profits and ripping us off. To lower milk and pasta is not going to help much ! Trebling, mortgages, high fruit and veg, diesel is killing us slowly 😪😪

@MartinSLewis I must be thick ! If you have low interest, cheaper utilities, cheaper diesel, then goods in the shop's should be cheaper, or am I totally out of touch with the way the Banks think !

@ThePublicMatter @MartinSLewis @bankofengland Surely if they dropped the bank rate, lowered retail and utility prices, then people would be more likely to spend, thus lowering inflation, cheaper mortgages make for a better housing market. My friend had a BTL mortgage and has been informed it is going from £134 to £438
