I AM A GRAD STUDENT

[Michael Schwab @michaelschwab13]

Chas McCormick posted a message to fans now that he is moving on from the team. No word on his next steps but Houston will forever love how Chas helped bring a 2nd World Series win to H-Town

[mireya ☼ @smireyam]

there’s no coming back from that.

[🛸 @tufthug]

breaking a bottle on someone’s head still on my bucket list btw

[Ari Alexander @AriA1exander]

Victor Caratini has been among the most steady and useful players all year for the Astros. I would prioritize bringing him back in free agency.

[Brian McTaggart @brianmctaggart]

The Astros simply couldn't overcome all the injuries, with Alvarez's ankle sprain and Pena's oblique as the cruel final blows.

Not to mention three starters having TJ surgery, Alvarez missing 100 games, Paredes out for 2-plus months and Hader out since Aug. 11. On and on.

[Ben Verlander @BenVerlander]

The Houston Astros are officially eliminated from the postseason.

The Houston Astros are no longer inevitable.

[Ari Alexander @AriA1exander]

It’s over.

The Guardians won.

The Astros playoff streak is done.

[Brian McTaggart @brianmctaggart]

What a truly remarkable run by the Astros from 2017-2024:

- 8 consecutive trips to the postseason
- 2 World Series championships
- 4 American League pennants
- 7 straight trips to the ALCS
- 7 AL West titles
- 99 playoff games
- Countless champagne celebrations
