Well, the new Claude Opus 5, at least in https://t.co/f8vEZh9tVC is much more proactive than expected. I asked to check if my hand-written avro decoder can be replaced by something in python's fastavro and it checked 3 libraries, ran a benchmark and identified dead code.

@wojtekszkutnik Thanks, will try 19 grams. I heard good stuff. I have 3 more coffees that I ordered from different roasters from Poland and Slovakia. So far my absolute favorite is this Kaffa coffee from Costa Rica. Outstandingly reach aroma, very fruity taste and long aftertaste. Just awesome!

I just hit funny and very annoying usability bug on Dutch Railway aka NS again. I had a QR code for my train ticket that I couldn’t scan for 5 minutes because my iPhone kept showing Apple Pay when I try to scan the code. No way to disable the behavior on iPhone.

My main focus in interviews now is on code comprehension. It's easy to generate code. It's hard to understand if it works. If a candidate can quickly understand the logic of basic code it's usually a very good signal. ~70% fail basic code review task and cannot spot major issues.
