@tsr Thanks for posting this, and for slogging through the book, so that the rest of us don't have to.
Minor typo linking this review from https://t.co/NfhnormqZN. I think you meant "far off-target", not "farr off-target".
@thailandmkl You wrote: "And when government kills its own people, what can they do about it? Nothing. Just ask the Chinese under Mao, the Russians under Stalin, or the Jews under Hitler."
Or the world under Fauci, or the Cambodians under Pol Pot, in that order. These men were all monsters.
@keselowski I just now bought two RFK T-shirts from https://t.co/Oc3JnSMw1X shipped to my house for less than $75 total. I'd be willing to pay more for golf shirts or long sleeve sun shirts.
Thanks for what you do, Brad. Thanks for being an unapologetically proud American. Happy 250th!
@DavidWeberBooks thank you for "A Beautiful Friendship", in More than Honor (HHA1). That's excellent storytelling, sir! I had already read a few of the Honorverse novels & novellas, but now I'm hooked for all of 'em: https://t.co/dOMrjN1tOz
@skamille I'm enjoying your engineering management insights in "The Manager's Path." Also, thank you for whatever role you played in making this book available in channels without DRM. I bought mine via https://t.co/NPNxPey0eT.
@SweetTeaBrandie@ericmetaxas Thank you @SweetTeaBrandie, I'll check out that podcast. Re: the original post, do traditional Lutheran churches boldly and regularly call out the trans movement? That targeting/grooming/mutilating children and assassinating political opponents are pure evil?
@ColbNewton@NASCAR Colby, you and your daughter are not the only 2. My wife and I (and more recently, my daughter) love NASCAR. We go to every 'Dega race. I've also been to Sonoma once w/ my brother. Yes, NASCAR fans can be a whiny bunch of somebodies sometimes. Water, meet duck's back. Send it!
@Margiedaly4 I fought BOE hard during Wuhan overreach, incl personal $$ to lawyers to apply pressure. They're weak on education, anti-family, wrapped in red tape, too incestuous w/ City Council, & beholden to the state teacher's union. They need all the alternative competition they can get.
If elected mayor of Madison, AL @Margiedaly4, how would you work with Limestone County leadership to address the ghost town development on SW of County Line Rd & Hardiman Rd? What mistakes were made there? Might history repeat itself on Burgreen Rd west of Wickerberry Ln?
I respect your fiscal focus. What if we fought for genuine school choice, and mapped student dollars directly to the Madison City student? In that way, we might not need another HS (because home schooling, private schooling, etc.). I'm not in favor of public school being the sacred cow it is today. The only metric that matters is best possible education for each individual Madison City student.
What's so infuriating about this I-565 County Line Rd exit project is that it was completely dumb and wasteful of taxpayer dollars from the very get-go. It's like it was designed out of spite for County Line Rd residents. It *never* worked, and it was clearly never going to work. It can only get worse and even more dangerous in our future as we grow. It's yet another case of terrible Madison City northern access from I-565.
I think it's not only about consensus-building, but also about the need for much stronger leadership. When a plan is put down on paper that is this ridiculous, even to the layman's eyes, then invested leaders need to stand up and say "no," not happening on my watch. Bring me a different plan.
We're stuck with it now because of past weak leadership, and it would require many tens of millions of dollars to make it right. But that's the cards we have been dealt.
From day 1, @Margiedaly4, the County Line Rd exit on I-565 w/ the Hwy 20 intersection was a total cluster. You didn't make this mess, but as Mayor of Madison, AL, how would you work with stakeholders in local businesses, Limestone County, the state and the Feds to correct it?
