Benjamin E. Mays High School celebrates an extraordinary milestone as Valedictorian Bethany Momon, Salutatorian Justin Allen, and STAR Student Ralph Long IV prepare to continue their journeys together at Georgia Tech this fall! 🎓✨
For Ralph Long IV, the moment carries a deeply personal meaning. He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Ralph Long Jr., one of Georgia Tech’s first Black students admitted in 1961 and part of The Three Pioneers, a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
We’re proud to celebrate this historic achievement. Check out the news story: https://t.co/vhZXLbzitM #APSExcellence #AtlantaPublicSchools

@APSMaysRaiders Valedictorian gave a powerful charge to the @APSWestManor 5th graders. Once our wolves grow they return to plant seeds of greatness. # The strength of the pack is in the wolf and the strength of the wolf is in the PACK!
For too long, students were told a four-year degree was the only path to success.
The new Workforce Pell Grant changes that. Soon, low-income students can use federal student aid for job training programs leading to in-demand careers with less debt and faster pathways to work, in as little as 8 weeks.
The last day of school for students is Friday, May 22, 2026. We are incredibly proud of all that our students have accomplished this school year. As summer approaches, we encourage everyone to finish strong, stay focused, and make the most of these final days. We wish all of our students and families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break. #APSExcellence #AtlantaPublicSchools
