Confidence is increasing that flash flooding may be a threat overnight tonight and possibly tomorrow (Thursday). Confidence is not quite high enough for a Flash Flood Watch but one may be issued later. A marginal risk for
@ProfessorStacie Love seeing the state trying to put things back to the normal ways!! The way this pandemic has changed so much with the education system with how teachers do things and with how students are supposed to function. Knowing that the kids will now be able to be kids warms my heart!
@seiber_jenna21@ProfessorStacie this is also true!! When I did my interview my teacher couldnβt really give me an exact amount of hours that they worry about the kids and do stuff for their classroom.
@ProfessorStacie I would say the most surprising would either be how different each kid is, or how some parents act towards their children not doing well/even just dealing with parents in general. Youβd think theyβd be nice to the one that is teaching their child but thatβs not always the case.
@LuttrellBrady@ProfessorStacie Itβs definitely not the easiest thing, but it makes such a huge difference when you know how each of your students function
@seiber_jenna21@ProfessorStacie oh yes I agree with this completely!! They need to know that how they learn and act is normal for them and that they can get out of their comfort zone in a safe place!
@ProfessorStacie Each Student learns and behaves differently. Learning how each of your students work is a key thing for your way of teaching. You need to know and let them feel that they are loved and are so smart!! They need to know you love them!
@Jackson71721191 @ProfessorStacie I worry about this also!! Going into a new environment and not knowing what things lie ahead is a little frightening! Luckily I have people I can talk to about those things!!
@mackbreeze_04@ProfessorStacie I would fear this in middle school age stuff too!! They can be pretty resistful in some things they need to learn and it would be difficult to tell them they need to learn the material!
@ProfessorStacie I would say my main concern would be how to handle behaviors! All kids come from different homes and therefore raised differently. Some may be mean to others or even throw tantrums if not gotten their way. This mainly happens in an Elementary setting, but could also carry over to
@mackbreeze_04@ProfessorStacie I totally agree!! some kids donβt like some classes cause they think theyβre really boring! having different ways to teach will help that awful everyday routine!
@seiber_jenna21@ProfessorStacie this is a really good reference iβve not heard before! love the concept of popcorn kernels, cause itβs true! every kid learns differently
@ProfessorStacie As the fun and loving teacher that did really cool things to help the kids learn. Also be the one who helped that one kid understand something theyβve not been able to. I want the kids I teach to know that being smart is a good thing but also not understanding something is okay!
