@TriMagCan 4/5 and using Covid as a scapegoat rather than owning up to their own decision-making shows a disappointing lack of transparency. Some promising athletes bet their Olympic dreams on the narrative that Tri-Can pushed over the past 4 years.
@TriMagCan 3/5 While this pivot may be justified based on their "mandate" for podium performance, I don't find their lack of accountability justified. The pivot to focus on individual performance at the Olympics over relay performance was on the table long before Covid.
@TriMagCan 2/5 Over the pandemic, Tri-Can completely rearranged their Olympic qualification criteria to no longer prioritize the relay under the realization that their best chance at an Olympic medal was through other means.
@TriMagCan 1/5 It's hard to find the logic in Triathlon Canada's messaging on this... After years of pushing athletes to prioritize relay qualification over their own individual ranking Tri-Can decides last minute to no longer follow that narrative.
A good run can be determined by executing a workout, quality company, weather, location/views etc. A great run is determined by how many dogs you can pet.

Forest fires (and global warming!) are fake news created by the Chinese, in collusion with Crooked Hillary and the nasty Dems. Time to race Kelowna CAMTRI Cup regardless of these make believe conditions. #whatwouldputindo
