Dr Alister MacKenzie's Augusta National design in 1933.

MacKenzie died at the age of 63 on January 6, 1934, a destitute man with the club having failed to pay his full design fee of $10,000.

At the time of his death he had received only $2,000 of what he was owed by Bobby Jones and Augusta National.
