Let me say this and you all can hate me for it. I don't care.
At least you know someone said it.

No matter the job you are doing, especially if you do 12hrs shift, you have no business working 7days a week.

As it ever occured to you that the more you work, the more tax you pay? You are basically slaving your life for the tax man and at the end of the day, you body will respond for it being overworked.

Even the almighty God rested after doing the work of creation. Your reasons may be, you have bills to pay etc, you should know that when your body responds, the bills won't help you....

Ask yourself, am I carrying more than I can handle? What are the things I need to cut off to have a work-life balance.

I use to do 5 nights in a week till I lost the ability to sleep. I hardly had time for my family because I was chasing something that I didn't use common sense to plan. The day I had covid and I couldn't work was when I told myself the truth.

I changed 5days to 3days, cut off things and I had peace and I went from 3days to 1 day to pursue my career.

Today, I work in Cyber Security and I play football at least 2-3 times a week, I have time for my family and gaming is a regular thing with some people in this community.

Thanks for my wonderful friend @xxbisolaxx (love you loads), she gave me a push that she herself didn't know until I told her and I met the exceptional Dr @ireteeh....the rest, they say, is history.

Why am I saying this....I have too many friends who might be here who are stressed out because of too many shifts.

Have you wondered why the whites you work with always take breaks? Some of them have more debts than you can imagine but they don't joke with their holiday and they don't do shifts like we do.

Don't allow irrelevant pressures make you over work yourself.....

I am not being proud ooo...I know can afford a 2024 car but its not a priority....There will be 2026-27-28 etc car and when time comes I will get it. I still use my 12 Pro max I got 4yrs ago sef, I get calls almost every week from my provider to upgrade but its not a priority....Few years ago, I couldn't afford to go on holiday but I have been to one this year and planning another...

Sorry for the epistle and this is not to downgrade anyone or whatever you are going through...Its just to remind you to remember "Body no be firewood"..
