Subject: Immediate Action Required Against Threatening Conduct Toward Kuki Woman
Respected Sir/Madam,
This is an urgent request on behalf of the Kuki community regarding a serious incident in Hengbung, Kangpokpi district, which is Kuki ancestral land.
It has been reported that a volunteer associated with the United Naga Council, during the ongoing bandh, entered a Kuki area carrying a stick and a knife and behaved in a threatening and abusive manner toward a Kuki woman at her shop. The individual reportedly used offensive language and threatened to burn down her shop.
Such actions are unacceptable and pose a direct threat to the safety, dignity, and rights of Kuki civilians, especially women. Crossing into a Kuki village and issuing threats to the community is a serious violation that must not be ignored.
We strongly demand the immediate identification and arrest of the individual responsible. Strict legal action must be taken against such threatening behavior to ensure justice and prevent further intimidation.
We urge the NIA and Central Forces to intervene without delay and ensure the protection of Kuki civilians and their property.
The Kuki community stands firm for justice, dignity, and peace, and expects immediate action.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
On behalf of Kuki Community
(Kukiland Tribal)

The Kukis and the Nagas live peacefully as good neighbours until the kacha Nagas who were vassals in the court of Kuki noble chief formed NSCN IM and forcibly claim lands belonging to the kukis.
DRUNK UNC REPRESENTATIVES:
Two intoxicated united naga council (UNC) representatives drove into Hengbung Kuki Village in an Alto while Senapati Police were present announcing the 6 PM curfew. When stopped, they caused a disturbance, arguing and scuffling with Kuki villagers.
A search revealed dozens of beer cans and few machetes in their possession meant for the enforcers of UNC announced Shut Down in UNC's influenced territory. The situation was handled calmly, with Hengbung village authorities resolving it peacefully and amicably.

A rights organisation has alleged that at least two village volunteers were killed and several civilians injured in an early morning attack on villages in Ukhrul district on April 24.
According to the Kuki Organisation for Human Rights Trust, suspected armed militants targeted Kuki-inhabited villages, including Mullam and Shongphal, at around 5:30 am. The group claimed that attackers opened fire and set houses ablaze while residents were inside their homes.
The organisation further alleged that two village volunteers on duty were killed during the incident while attempting to defend the area. It also reported that several civilians, including women and children, sustained injuries, though their condition was not immediately known.
KOHUR stated that at least two houses were damaged in the alleged attack. It added that villagers tried to respond using available means, including licensed firearms.

Condolence message issued by the Bungpi-Ihang Defence Committee, Kangpokpi District.
We mourn the loss of two brave Kuki-Zo volunteers who laid down their lives defending Mullam village. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Standing in solidarity with the bereaved families.
Thank you, Manipur Police @manipur_police.
A viral social media post claiming that a Tangkhul individual was caught at Kangpokpi and that Kuki armed groups under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement were behind it has been found to be false by Manipur Police. The police have also initiated legal action in the matter.
I only wish that Mr. Sword Vashum, President of Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), and the United Naga Council (UNC), often described as the NSCN-IM mouthpiece, had handled the matter with the maturity and logic expected of leaders, instead of resorting to emotional outbursts and spreading misinformation against one particular community amid the TM Kasom killings allegedly involving NSCN factions.
Both Mr. Sword Vashum and the UNC leadership must be held accountable and face legal consequences for tarnishing the image of the peace-loving Kuki-Zo community and for UNC’s alleged hijacking of the entire National Highway to protect disgruntled NSCN factions.
The Kuki-Zo community would also like to appeal to the state government and the @NIA_India: What is the status in the case of Thangboimang Khongsai and Thengin Baite, unarmed civilians who were allegedly brutally tortured and killed by Tangkhul militants while repairing their village pipeline? What about the other unarmed civilians who were seriously injured by Tangkhul militants?
The concerned authorities and the state government must provide a clear explanation and detailed information to the Kuki-Zo community. Our restraint and respect for law and order should not be mistaken for weakness. Please do not force us to resort to protests for justice, especially when evidence and proof are already available.

The Kuki village of Mullam came under attack by NSCN (Tangkhul) cadres.
In the aftermath, the attackers appear to be portraying themselves as victims through a coordinated public relations narrative.

2 rescued with severe injuries, more feared, 1 unverified fatality.
Warnings were ignored. How many more lives before action is taken?

Mulam village under attack!
Mulam Village, April 24, 2026 — Mulam Village came under a full-scale armed attack in the early hours of April 24, allegedly carried out by Tangkhul militants.
At approximately 1:00 AM, a blank shot was heard near the village.
Given the recent pattern of unrest, this did not immediately raise alarm. However, at around 5:30 AM, the village was subjected to what appears to be an unprovoked and premeditated assault. The attack involved heavy and indiscriminate firing, accompanied by the burning of homes, leaving several individuals injured.
At the time of issuing this statement, two severely injured persons have been rescued. There are reports of additional unconfirmed injuries, as well as one unverified fatality.
This act of violence reflects a disturbing escalation. While previous incidents have contributed to rising tensions, the direct attack on a civilian village marks a grave and unacceptable development.
Background of Recent Incidents:
April 19, 2026: Armed militants reportedly entered Mulam village land in broad daylight and fired blank shots at farmers, causing widespread panic.
Later the same day, when village youths attempted to approach the group for clarification, they were met with gunfire. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
April 21, 2026: Another incident of firing targeted farmers, further heightening fear and insecurity.
These repeated acts have created an atmosphere of sustained intimidation, reportedly involving harassment and disruption of daily life. Despite this, the Mulam community exercised restraint, hoping for peaceful resolution.
In response to the escalating situation, the Mulam Village Authority issued an urgent warning to the authorities of nearby areas, including Toungou and Sirarikhong, urging intervention and de-escalation. However, these appeals appear to have gone unheeded.
The government must act now — any further delay will cost innocent lives.

If this is not a national security threat, then what else is? Time to act hard against these women who are shielding NSCN-IM. This must stop 🛑
Why is this being allowed @Spearcorps@official_dgar?
