@sportsrage A big problem is also the parents' attitude - they rip into coaches if the team loses, even in house league - when my Dad coached, he always had his worst player take a PK, because his philosophy was 'this will be the kid's only chance to score a goal' parents RIPPED him for it.
@sportsrage I don't agree with not keeping score, as I find as a kid, you should learn how to win and lose with sportsmanship - but I do agree coaches priorities are all in the wrong place. Developing talent and developing life skills should come first.
@sportsrage It's outrageous across the board throughout sports. I love sports but we have to draw the line somewhere of what is worth spending our money on.
@MitchyGallo I wonder what the trade-off is, with taxes being a lot higher here, but players all being paid in US dollars. You would think it would somewhat balance out the financial pros and cons of playing in Canada.
A lesson to learn from the Hurricanes - they had killer instinct - the Habs didn't in early rounds - Canes had the Habs down and stepped on their throat - something the Habs will need to do in future years to have gas left in the tank for later rounds. #GoHabsGo
@MatthewEvolves I'm willing to give Dobson a pass for this year, because it's obvious that hand was not healed when he came back. But something to watch next playoff.
@MatthewEvolves And of course, people will read this tweet as 'you want MSL fired, you're an idiot!" When it's just a valid criticism and a reminder that he's developing as a coach too.
