"Here we argue that, as things stand, the evidence for the efficacy of PC-amber LEDs in such reductions is quite limited and that these lamps should not be seen as a panacea for the environmental impacts of ALAN."

Glad to see the weather is so pleasant to welcome students (back) to @UniofExeter! Just don’t get too used it - it’s been some combination of torrentially raining and near freezing in the last week alone.
Have a great freshers week! 😎

@AndreasJechow Thanks Andreas. Was really hoping to make it, but unfortuantely was not possible this time. Glad to be seeing some of the fantastic research and sights of Austria via Twitter though. 🙂
Unfortunately not able to make it to #LPTMM2024 this week. Looks like a great conference, at an incredible venue. However, I am neck deep in #ALAN simulations and nighttime satellite observations, so there is that. I hope everyone has a fantastic time!
I know I expressed scepticism when @affinitybyserif was acquired by @canva, but credit where it's due, this is a pleasant surprise. It's still early days, but this kind of ethos does a lot to esuage my scepticism. More companies following this example would be great!

It’s a hive of activity on the @UniofExeter campus today. Open days are here!
A huge welcome to all of the potential students and their entourages. I hope you are inspired that same way I was when I visited for the first time. I look forward to seeing some of you next year. 🙂
@SE_Dresden I know I should prefer Astronomical Twilight, but I do enjoy the good manners and cordiality of Civil Twilight. Astronomical Twilight has a much darker sense of humour too...
