Antimicrobials are substances such as antibiotics developed to treat various infectious diseases in humans and animals. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) happens when microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses causing these diseases develop resistance towards the drugs. With increasing AMR, treating infectious diseases is becoming harder, making it an urgent public health threat.
