@EricLDaugh First of all, he’s not responsible for the grid problem. Second, he can’t fix the problem any time soon. Third, 78° is the federal and many states recommendation in heat waves. Fourth, your HVAC will appreciate not stressing it out to reach temps 15-20° below the outside temp.

@EricLDaugh We turned ours up to 78 in this heat because your HVAC can’t handle more than a 15°, maybe 20° drop from the outside temp without the potential to fail or freeze up. It’s just being smart and it keeps your unit from overworking. Not rocket science.
