You are totally wrong I am not involved with the transfer of services from SBC to parishes. Cllr Jim Grant is leading and the parish vice chair is representing the parish at the negotiations.
I also never trashed SBC 20 years ago.

@sn2sam@jimrobbins@SaveOasis according title deeds held by the land registry in 2013 the oasis lease was re-sold as an 'underlease' to a bank based in Cyprus for £3.9m for a 25 year term to end 2038.
If this is correct can you clarify who is actually responsible for the oasis?
As outlined at the Cabinet meeting when the decision was made. The land at North Star will not be sold to SC until the Oasis has been renovated and reopened.

@sn2sam@jimrobbins@SaveOasis can you clarify if the oasis and north star land has yet been sold to 7capital? And if section 123 of the local government act 1972 process has been followed regards the disposal of open spaces, ie advertised in the press and objections considered?
While our Moredon Sporting Hub is under construction we’re cycling in every night to safely open & close the 3G pitch on the construction site. A safe route has been created allowing partner clubs to access the facility. Over 100 hours use already..we’re off to a flying start! ⚽️
When I presented the report to cabinet & in answering public questions. I made it clear that our aim was to get the Oasis reopened in 2026. I never mentioned the 1st Jan.
Dear @RishiSunak, I’m not sure how you are targeting these letters in #Swindon but I think you might have just wasted a stamp with me. Have a nice Christmas!
😟 Worrying about money?
The Independent Food Aid Network has released an interactive leaflet that’s tailored to the financial help you need, breaking down your options and who you can speak to for support.

Really enjoyed the @SwindonCouncil staff awards last night. Was great to hear about the amazing work going above and beyond for Swindon by all of the nominees.
Well done to everyone nominated and huge thanks to all of the team and sponsors who delivered such a stunning event!
Great meeting today forging links with British Cycling & The Swindon Sports Forum, helping shape an emerging Cycling Partnership Framework for the new Sporting Hub… opening next year! 🚴🏾♂️ 🚴
My friend went to A&E yesterday morning… barely able to breathe. Guess where he’s now? Still in A&E not even on a bed after 36 hrs. I’m sorry but there’s no way Tories aren’t neglecting NHS on purpose. And
hard right think tank 1828, headed by Dido Hardings husband have wanted to privatise for years.
After a lot of meetings and comms briefings on @SwindonCouncil’s new waste collection plans, am a little too excited to have put out my new Food Waste bin for its first collection!
Hope that the teams have another good day on the new routes with the new Lorries…
The Oasis skateboard Park is not being lost. 7C are giving it to the local parish council and are paying for its transfer. The PC are in the process of deciding its new location.
Next week sees the biggest changes to our waste and recycling service for 15 years!
As part of the changes, we gave you the opportunity to name our new lorries and more than 300 of you responded.
We’ve now got our winners! Read the list: https://t.co/PfphX0FYn3
The site would not suddenly qualify for funding. Also the cost to SBC to mothball the Oasis whilst we obtain the funding would be in the region of £20m before we even started any refurbishment work.
@sn2sam You know that you can't currently apply for them because the site is leased to a private company. Im talking about legally dissolving the lease, taking back control then, as you also know, the site will qualify for funding. Please read the tweet.
