Turns out the strangest part of TempleOS wasn't the operating system. It was the person behind it.

Terry A. Davis.

In 2005, he started building an operating system almost entirely on his own.

During its development, Terry was diagnosed with schizophrenia. His beliefs became deeply intertwined with the project, ultimately shaping its purpose and many of its features.

Over the next decade

He built the bootloader, kernel, compiler, graphics library, multiple games, a custom filesystem, and even created his own programming language called HolyC.

All by one developer. Around 100,000 lines of code.

A complete operating system in just 1.4 MB.

Whether you see it as one of the greatest solo engineering projects ever built, or one of the most unusual stories in software history

TempleOS is impossible to ignore!!
