@broadburnt I like Carolina/Montreal's approach better, but the cherry-picking here is crazy. Look at their Day 2 picks since then, they do not have an appreciably higher hit rate. BTW the Flyers drafted Barkey in the same range as Blake; he put up similar PPG stats in his rookie year.

@glimmerinplay @ADiMarco25 It’s not a prioritization issue. It’s easy to reach a vet minimum agreement with a 13th forward/locker room BFF. Using 1 of 3 retention spots to get a return on your now-unnecessary locker room BFF and make room for the kids seems like something you should be in favor of.
