God’s first words after the Fall were: “Where are you?”

It is only one word in Hebrew: אַיֶּכָּה (ʾayyekah).

In that single word is compressed a whole theology:

• God seeks out lost sinners.
• God welcomes them to confess.
• God desires their restoration.
• God works their redemption.

Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale just went on CNBC and said something that is hard to argue with, "It's crazy to think he's not going to win" (Save this).

@JTLonsdale is talking about Elon Musk, SpaceX and the single most consequential infrastructure race happening in the world right now.

His core argument is that, Musk is the best hardware builder in the world at exactly the moment when trillions of dollars are flowing into hardware.

SpaceX's S-1 IPO filing which dropped last month revealed the company spent approximately $20 billion on its AI division in 2025 alone, representing roughly 60% of total capital expenditure.

The filing claims SpaceX has identified the largest actionable total addressable market in human history at $28.5 trillion, with $22.7 trillion of that attributed to enterprise AI applications.

But the part of Lonsdale's argument that most people missed is the regulatory angle.

Every regulation making it harder to build data centers on Earth, every zoning fight, every environmental objection, every piece of legislation used to slow down AI infrastructure directly benefits Musk because his answer to all of it is to build in space, where those rules simply do not apply.

Every obstacle that slows down a terrestrial data center is, in practice, an argument for the orbital alternative that only SpaceX is currently positioned to deliver at scale.

At the very end of Psalm 119, after 175 verses rejoicing in the beauty, truth, and life-giving power of the Word of God, we arrive at a strikingly honest confession: “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant” (Psalm 119:176).

How fitting is that?

After walking such a long road paved with divine instruction, praise, and devotion, here we are, lost. If there were ever a time when we shouldn’t be going astray, surely it would be now, at the culmination of the longest psalm, a sustained meditation on the very thing that guides us.

Yet even on this well-lit path, we wander.

We are stubborn, forgetful, easily distracted sheep. We veer off the trail to nibble on weeds that look greener, only to find they are poisonous. Our Shepherd calls, but we are too enchanted by shadows to heed his voice.

We do not fall off the path only in moments of darkness or despair; we stray even in the light, even in the presence of truth.

So Isaiah is blunt: “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6). No exceptions. Each sheep believes his path is best. One wanders into the den of wolves. Another totters on a cliff’s edge, moments from a fall. Another lies stuck in the mire, bleating for help.

And what does God do? He doesn’t send a map so lost sheep can find their way home. He doesn’t shout from the heavens, “Try harder!” He sends a Shepherd. But not only that—this Shepherd becomes the Lamb. “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).

He doesn’t wait for us to want salvation. He comes unbidden. He comes determined.

Jesus has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:4–5).

And this did not begin at the cross. Matthew 8 tells us that when Jesus healed the sick and drove out demons, he was already fulfilling Isaiah 53: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases” (Matthew 8:16–17).

From the moment he stepped into this fallen world, Jesus was absorbing our pain, taking it into himself. His entire life was a slow, steady pouring out. He was taking our death even as we were receiving his life.

This is the great exchange. His righteousness for our sin. His wounds for our healing. All the bad that we are, he takes as his own. All the good that he is, he gives to us as our own. So that we might be forever his: lambs in his arms, sheep in his pasture.

The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat.

If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific.

He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it.

In my little years, I have never thought of this, but God intentionally left out one crucial component. There was no steering wheel, no sail, and worse still, there was no engine.

Think about how scary that is.

Noah was building a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it, or over where it went. He couldn't steer it away from rocks. He couldn't turn it into the waves. He couldn't aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water.

The Ark was not designed for navigation; just for floating.

Noah’s job was to be the Passenger, not the Captain.

God was the Captain.
