i’m not posting this for interactions, sympathy, or attention. i’m posting it to bring light to something i’m still figuring out myself.
june is men’s mental health awareness month. 35% of men with self-reported mental health concerns don’t seek treatment or even speak about it because it’s portrayed as “weak”
my goal with this post is not only to become more comfortable being vulnerable with my own emotions, but to help normalize it.
i struggle to understand, validate, and sometimes even remember my own feelings. idk what to do with them. so if you experience that too, i’m not telling you to go to therapy tomorrow or see a psychiatrist. just sit down with yourself and try your hardest to process what you’re feeling.
and yes, it’s okay to fucking cry.
