@midwestern_ope My son says that but about pants. Like kid, put on pants in the car. But nooooooo... They aren't comfortable. (He's 13). I had to have a rule that below 30 degrees he has to wear pants to the bus stop. Every morning was a fight otherwise.

@PenickBridget So dumb that I had to fill out a form so that my son could go by his shortened name. But also I hate that now his full name isn't listed. Yes he goes by shortened name, but it is ok to be listed by his full name on official documents.

@JosiahHawthorne I think it depends on the neighborhood. It is probably ok, but ths letting them spread their wings is hard. We are struggling with how far to ride the bikes alone, go to park, stay home alone, etc for our 10 and 13 year old kids.

@DisabledDoctor I loved being told that when I got shingles the week after my husband had a heart issue that landed him in the hospital. Like what I am supposed to do, just not care?

@notcapnamerica Yes, but note that if your county has been declared a disaster area, you have to actually go through an appraisal process and for us, we were close enough to it automatically dropping off that it would have cost us more money to go through that process.

@clhubes My son was 3 when my daughter was born. He refused to be in the same room as her. It's been 10 years. 🤣 They can sometimes get along, but they will never be best friends.

@Chinchillazllla This happened to my kid's friends. Their mom had to ask the person on Nextdoor to take the picture down. But yes the person called the cops (kids were 10, 8 and 6)... Apparently my kids went with them but stayed along the side of the house. So not in the photo. 😲

@returnofthegoth 1. I have a dog that I walk a half hour every morning.
2. Twice a week I go for a run. In the summer, that run is before work, but varies based on when I have meetings. In the winter, usually on my lunch hour 3. On a weekend, we go for a family hike or racquetball.

@DerwinLGray The first thing you need to get out of your mind is that women are aborting healthy pregnancies in the 2nd 3rd trimesters. When you realize that women are aborting in order to hold their child before death, then you realize this bill hurts grieving families.

@abollinger3939 @Nic_Beyer @GymFan5 Yeah, it was a weird side comment about how KM was done with Elite gymnastics. I don't follow things that closely but it seemed out of line.

@missemilyliz I can also say that your kids do grow up and eventually they can stay up later, even be alone while you do something. Don't get me wrong it took a long time (kids are 9 and 12 now). But sometimes you have a season that you can't participate like you want to and that is ok 2/2.

@missemilyliz I feel for you. Even as a 2 parent home, my kids as youngsters were such poor sleepers that we did not take them out after supper until after kindergarten. Church people didn't really understand why we wouldn't participate in evening activities. 1/2
