@JorCru I just feel the need to say that I heard your Queery ep and felt like this is exactly where I'm at in my grayace journey and now I'm listening to other interviews and you're saying what my therapists should have. So seen and so called out (in a good way).
I'm listening to the new Cameron Esposito survival podcast after just reading Small Game and kinda wondering if they came up with the idea also after reading Small Game. Or are we just all queer and stuck between a bear mom and her cub
@QueerMoviePod just a thought that I'd be really interested to hear Rowan in particular talk about Kissing Jessica Stein because I firmly believe that it's about a biromantic acespec woman and just, in 2001, doesn't know it's about that
I don't wanna criticize anyone or their lmda talks but I feel like as a dramaturg it's worth considering the political context of your media examples and how audience emotions around that might distract from whatever your point is.
Loving the compensation talk at LMDA today; so grounded and actionable for folks throughout the field. (remember when I used to actually tweet about dramaturgy stuff?)
@ImaginWorldsPod Alternatively I'd look at the position between fiction writing and graphic games, and what text adventure narratives can do differently from either. Thanks for responding and love the podcast!
@ImaginWorldsPod would be interested to hear an ep on interactive fiction and the evolution from the zork days to the present competitions and fan-creation focused community
@ImaginWorldsPod I was thinking of looking at where the form is now v. Infocom days but yeah "where it is now" is broad even if that's something you're interested in. I'd think about the community based around fan-created games and competitions, but maybe that's just the part I see.
@Safeway does your website block people from visiting it abroad? I'm just trying to play flavor adventure while on vacation but I can't even view the website or app
every time I post about not working in theatre full-time someone who doesn't follow me air-drops in with "well, I'm STAYING", like that's fine! do what you want! just give yourself the uncomfortable luxury of changing your mind once your priorities inevitably change!
Tfw you see a show you didn't work on and then go home and do some dramaturgical research and think about the essays you would write if you were in school
