Manipulated video of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is being circulated with the false claim that he admitted he had no role in India’s independence struggle. The viral clip has been selectively edited. In the original footage, Nehru was referring to Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s participation in the freedom struggle, not his own.

They want us to mug up every stanza of #VandeMataram. We say: “we will.”
But when our National Anthem is insulted like this, we say: “we will not tolerate it.”
That’s #BJP MLA and #UttarPradesh speaker Satish Mahana - he is like am done bro. So what National Anthem is being played, it’s just a background score for ambience?
Let’s see whether the new BNS is applied to him and also to the police officers who followed the leader instead of upholding the dignity of the uniform they wear.
Respect for the national anthem cannot be selective. Respect for the country cannot depend on political convenience.
এত কষ্ঠ , আত্মত্যাগ করে তো একটা সনাতনী সরকার এলো এবং হেন্দু শের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হয়েছে

Irony has left Earth's orbit.
The person who screamed that Congress would sell your Mangalsutra has now gone ahead and sold ISRO itself.
Happy #NationalSpaceDay.

A decorated police officer in Manipur, India, led one of the state's largest drug raids seizing over 4,500 kilograms of heroin, hundreds of thousands of tablets, and lakhs in cash from the home of a sitting BJP politician.
What followed, according to her sworn affidavit filed in court, was a series of escalating pressures to release the accused, she says came from within the highest levels of the state government. She refused. She documented everything. She went on record. The accused was eventually released.
The evidence, prosecutors, and the judge were all transferred. Her affidavit to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister received no formal response. Is a genuine war on drugs even possible when the people fighting it face the system itself?
PSU’s have donated huge money to PM Cares Fund as part of mandatory CSR spending. The CSR money is supposed to be used for healthcare, livelihood, education, welfare, sanitation. According to the latest Audit, PM Cares Fund has put that money in Fixed Deposits
Why is AIIMS hiding details regarding pellet gun victims from the Jantar Mantar Delhi protests?
I’d filed RTIs with the 4 main union govt hospitals in Delhi asking for details including number of persons who sustained pellet gun injuries on 20th July.
Of these, 2 hospitals responded & confirmed a total of 10 victims with pellet gun injuries.
Bizarrely, AIIMS has refused to disclose the information claiming “it might directly or indirectly lead to identification of the patient”
How does disclosing the NUMBER OF PELLET GUN VICTIMS enable “identification of the person”? Patient details have NOT been sought. All that’s been asked for is a simple number.
Why are Modi-Shah so desperate to bury information about pellet gun victims from the Delhi protests?
Even after a month, the govt has not released any details. We still don’t know how many victims in total suffered pellet gun injuries on 20th July. And now hospitals are being asked to suppress information.
If Modi-Shah claim that the pellet gun use on unarmed protestors was legal, why so scared to disclose the details?
Try searching for the phrase 'Burhan Wani' or 'Monu Manesar' on Instagram. You can't, there's a blanket ban on these phrases. Meta refuses to tell which are the other such phrases that Government of India has asked them to censor.
Has Instagram restricted use of the name Burhan Wani? Why does a search draw blank?
The third story in our censorship series looks at an #AltNews post removed twice by Meta. It was allowed after we deleted 'Burhan Wani'. @Indra_Calcutta, @shinjineemjmdr https://t.co/souor8IIYw
ABVP-BJP-RSS goons arrived on bikes at midnight and unleashed violence inside Jadavpur University campus, attacking students with weapons, vandalising union rooms, throwing stones and bricks and setting fire to students’ belongings.
There is a reason why PM CARES is kept as a private fund and outside CAG Audit.
We will show you just one example. According to PM CARES statement, it gave ₹189.4 Cr to Indian Oil Corporation for buying Liquid Oxygen Equipment in 2021-22.
However if you see Indian Oil Corporations annual report, it received only ₹103.27 Cr from PM CARES.
Where did the remaining ₹86.1 Cr vanish? Swiss Banks?
All other expenditures of PM CARES requires further audit. There is a reason why this fund was created, when an existing Prime Minister's Disaster Relief fund existing from 1948.
This is nothing but Modi-Care fund, where private companies and public companies were forced to contribute including CSR funds.
And that's why it was kept private so that CAG will not catch the frauds done in daylight.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Delhi Police has admitted in the SC that facial recognition technology was deployed during the Jantar Mantar protests.
Now for facial recognition to make a “match”, there needs to be an underlying database of photos+details of citizens. So where did Delhi Police get that database from?
In response to an RTI of mine in 2020, the Election Commission admitted that it had shared the entire voter list WITH PHOTOS with Delhi Police during the Delhi riots investigation.
Interestingly, ECI’s own rules PROHIBIT sharing of photo electoral roll with ANY agency. And yet, the ECI broke its own rules in 2020 & handed over the data to Delhi Police.
Therefore:
👉 Did ECI supply voter lists with photos to Delhi Police for their facial recognition database during Jantar Mantar protests?
👉 What other agencies (Aadhaar, IT Dept, Transport Dept etc) have shared their database with Delhi Police to be used for facial recognition?
👉 If no agency has provided any data, how is Delhi Police managing to conduct facial recognition on EVERYONE (not just those with a criminal record) during protests?
There’s a reason that the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act has NOT yet been fully notified despite being passed by Parliament in Aug 2023 (THREE YEARS AGO).
It’s 2 simple questions really:
👉 Will the Delhi Police disclose what database it is using for facial recognition?
👉 Will ECI & other bodies confirm whether they’re still providing photo databases to Delhi Police?
Ever since they have usurped power inBengal after massive fraud , all govt dept functioning system has broken down & to make matters worse they are flexing their inhumanity on poor & helpless
One day the collective curse of oppressed people will destroy them
I would advise Mr Priyank to go ahead and officially register a body in the name of R.S.S. under various laws. Then let's see who comes forward to object to it, and under which laws, and with what logic. In fact many people should do this across India. And if the registration itself is denied, let's see the grounds for denial, and start from there.
Long post: A rant about Congress. This comes from professional experience in the field of adverting and also of following Politics since long. One of my pet peeves about Congress has always been about its failure to grab an opportunity when it lands right in their lap. Latest example is the Chhapan Inch ka Chhota Bandar.
BJP spent crores over years branding Rahul Gandhi as Pappu. Thousands of crores were spent over years to build the imagery. And then at Jantar Mantar came this slogan “Chhapan Inch ka Chhota Bandar” out of nowhere. Yes the origin goes back to JNU and SFI circles. But this protest is what made it popular.
This was a gift. People resonated with it on their own. It was a brain rot ear worm. Anyone who heard it even once can’t get it out of their head. Nobody paid for it because it was organic and natural. All Congress had to do was pick up the brand and run.
Ideally by now Rahul Gandhi should have been walking into Parliament holding a small stuffed toy monkey. Not saying a word. And placing it in front of him at every press conference while he questions the government. There should have been Chhota Bandar merchandise everywhere by now. Spokespersons walking into TV debates wearing a Chhota Bandar T shirt. No need to even say Chhapan Inch anymore. Just the imagery. That is how imagery works, it does not need words once it sticks.
Chhota Bandar ringtones. Rap songs. Hoardings. Videos. Where people are asking questions to a monkey mascot without taking any names and everyone knows instantly.
The line fits everywhere. Trump ka Chhota Bandar. Adani ka Chhota Bandar. Ambani ka Chhota Bandar. It stretches to fit any situation and that is the sign of a good moniker.
And here is the real damage. Someone who spent thousands of crores crafting the image of a strong, decisive leader, a man the world is supposed to admire, gets called Chhota Bandar by teenagers on the street. That kind of imagery does not just embarrass an authoritarian. It breaks something psychologically. There is no coming back from this imagery once it sticks.
A properly run campaign would have made sure that a kid at the zoo, seeing a monkey, screams Chhota Bandar without thinking. And everyone around would know exactly who he means. That opportunity came for free. While it is still not too late, but the opportunity is almost lost and that’s the biggest problem with Congress
