@philhaigh_@TalkingSnooker Excellent result 2 days ago for @Flo_Snooker as well (beating Ricky Walden 5-3)! Earned himself a match against Judd Trump in Wuhan, massive for Austrian snooker π!
@SnookerLoopy_ Deserves it so much more than Ali Carter (another obvious one in the triple crown discussion) - would love Bazza to win but what a tough drawn this time around!
@philhaigh_ I've been following (&formerly playing) snooker in Austria for 20+ years and I can safely say that this is the greatest moment for the game in this country! Well done to @Flo_Snooker !!
@davehendon Interestingly there has only been 1 other case of that in Masters' history (1981) if I'm not mistaken. Only 3 additional one's (2000, 2005, 2013) if you count QFs where people later won a TV eventually or (in the case of Stevens 2000) it was their maiden TC win.
@philhaigh_@TalkingSnooker Really enjoyed the episode as well! Just a little sad that it wasn't the usual epic with @davehendon ;(. Any particular reason or just the health issues in your family you mentioned on the pod?
@gchq98@TalkingSnooker@davehendon I was wondering the same thing ;(.. the last episode of both talking snooker and snooker scene podcast suggested there won't be one which makes me very sad ;(!
@davehendon Lovely chat there with John Spencer! In case you are/anyone else is interested in more "Steve & friends", here's a playlist I found on YouTube: https://t.co/Mca1iwbWph
@snookerhub There is one under https://t.co/g14KqQ3Qgs called "centuries count" and that seems be similar (at least for the top3) with https://t.co/T7DXHqKsT4
@TheGreenBaize@WeAreWST@mosgovsa@saudibilliards I still find this endlessly intriguing;). Would you say Dustin Johnson is as "successful" as Gary Player in golf? Both on 24 wins yet about as different in majors (2 v 9) as Trump and Davis in Triple Crowns (4 v 15)? No hate here just generally curious!
@davehendon That would be a great Top10 topic for your podcast (the new list : greatest (crucible) semifinals. Could be both opinion or fact (e.g. frame/point/... difference) based!
@snookerorg 60 in the second tier of the Austrian tournament circuit some 11 years ago. Managed to nick the highest break but have not been close since. Had 2 breaks of 50 before in practice matches. So yeah.. pretty bad standard there :-/
