As we mourn more Americans lost to gun violence, we look to legislative tools we know can reduce violent fatalities, blocked mercilessly time and time again by @NHGOP. #NeverAgain must be now. #NHPolitics
As Governor, I will call on the legislature to send me a bill banning assault weapons in New Hampshire. We need real leadership that will actually step up and take action to save lives. I will act. #NHPolitics
Trump’s former AG Bill Barr mocks his former boss:
“His verbal skills are limited. If you get him away from 'very, very, very’…He's not very disciplined with what he says."
“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump."
-Former VP Dick Cheney
Amazing weekend of celebrating Hanover’s finest female leaders! The inauguration of @dartmouth’s first Madam President @sianbeilock, and the 80th birthday of our selectboard’s first chairwoman @snordgren23. The future is female. #NHPolitics#LadyLeaders
🚨#BREAKING: Sea lions have escaped the Central Park zoo due severe flooding
📌#Manhattan | #NewYork
Due to the extreme flooding that is occurring across New York City, the water level in the Sea Lion area rose significantly. As a result, the Sea Lions were able to swim over the glass enclosure and escaped their exhibit at the Central Park Zoo, according to zoo officials. The zoo staff also monitored the sea lion as she explored the area before returning to the familiar surroundings of the pool. Importantly, the sea lion never breached the zoo’s secondary perimeter. The Central Park zoo is closed due to the severe weather
👏 @RepWilhelm on taxpayer-funded Ferraris, illegal votes, & tax breaks for millionaires. Restore faith in gov't. GOP conspiracy theories & culture wars only seek to divide the people of NH. @NHHouseDems stand for teachers, families, integrity, & our shared Granite State Values.
Background checks are required of public school employees to protect the safety of children.
Despite funneling millions of taxpayer dollars into vouchers for private and religious schools, @NHGOP wants them to remain a secretive black box with no oversight. #NHPolitics
Today is a day of reflection and most of all, remembrance, for those we lost on September 11. May we never forget to tell their stories and honor their legacies.
22 years ago this morning, our world changed forever - a piece of my heart will always be missing. Dedicate today in honor of the lives lost, the families and friends who know the loss deeply. Carry on their work, their love and never forget.

The fact that Rep. Laurie Sanborn retains her position as Chair of House Ways and Means, which often hears charitable gaming bills, AND her position on the House Rules Committee, AND the position of NH House Speaker Pro Tem also speaks volumes. #NHPolitics
Parents don’t have the money to pay for it. Workers can’t afford to live off what they earn. Yet the guy in charge of the legislative committee on childcare says NH doesn’t need to spend more money. Instead, we need more “disruption.” As if… #NHPolitics https://t.co/bz8ijYqRK0
“It is beyond disappointing that only a few years [after enacting SB263 anti-discrimination protections] our legislature would consider inviting legislation to discriminatorily single out trans students and roll back their protections.” #NHPolitics https://t.co/DOrFWbuqMU
"Franklin Roosevelt launched a war against the Great Depression. Lyndon Johnson launched a war against poverty. Ronald Reagan launched a war against communism. Ron DeSantis – a potential 2024 candidate – has decided to launch his war against Disney." https://t.co/N2HnyrPmxt
A Davenport West High School senior yelled "Trans rights are human rights" during a scholarship ceremony with Gov. Kim Reynolds today.
Reynolds has signed legislation blocking gender-affirming care for trans youth and a "bathroom bill" this session.
The Florida House, this weekend, passed a measure that would lower the minimum age to purchase a rifle and other long guns in the state from 21 to 18.
This basically acts as a repeal of a law passed following the 2018 Parkland mass shooting, in which a 19-year-old killed 17 people at a school.
You'd think that as mass shootings continue to rise, politicians would at least not make things even easier for young shooters to purchase weapons that can cause mass death.
How is allowing teenagers to purchase AR-15's making America better? How is this making us safer?
It's NOT!
