@cmclymer There's been a huge positive change in kids' clothing. Both my girls like hearts, rainbows, and dinosaurs. I remember taking our older daughter to the natural history museum and saw ~6 girls wearing the same print as my daughter because that's all there was.
Now, we are starting to see lower rates of screening women ages 40-49 and 75+ in many states. However, those states have also had declines in screening women ages 50-74. These women are most likely to benefit from screening.
In 2009, the USPSTF issued controversial new guidelines around breast cancer screening. Only women ages 50-74 were recommended for routine screening with individual-decision making for other age groups.
New @UVMResearch by Sarah Nowak, PhD shows the unintended consequence of revised mammography guidelines—fewer women in most at-risk age group are screened.
Since 2009, #Vermont had 2nd largest decline in at-risk screenings of any state.
