@Lauraonthettc@KathleenAldrid9@glen_mcgregor Right on the issue, but the advertisements were a genuine waste of money since the day they were announced. I never liked the idea, just boring showmanship from the province’s greatest con-man.
To consider it “meddling” is stupid, and an excuse to pile on more tariffs.
@Random_Walk_PDX@sameasterling78@ForcePao You wanna say that both are at fault? Sure, I agree with that. But leaving out important context on how shitty the situation was for a partisan statement is lame.
@Random_Walk_PDX@sameasterling78@ForcePao He didn’t do that, what he did do was agree to the release of 5000 Taliban prisoners, scaled down US air raids in support of the ANDSF, then stopped offensive operations with the ANDSF altogether.
@Random_Walk_PDX@sameasterling78@ForcePao It was always a bad deal, Biden was handed a plate of shit when it came to Afghanistan. Trump’s deal was appeasing the Taliban while sidelining Afghanistan’s government, I do not see how things could be ANY different (esp. since the ones who killed the Marines were Daesh)
@Random_Walk_PDX@sameasterling78@ForcePao Trump is the “hosebag” who negotiated a deal with the Taliban that effectively gave them a head start in taking over Afghanistan.
Either way you look at it, the withdrawal of Afghanistan was always going to be seen as embarrassing, doesn’t matter if Trump was president.
