Arch Linux is not as unstable as I thought to be (for home use). And it's a next level of transition from distros like Ubuntu/Fedora as users needs to setup more things on their own. This transition is comparable to Windows -> Ubuntu transition.

[2/2] With layered layout, I can press a key to switch to say layer N, where I have configured num keys on RHS of alphabet keys. I can have another layer to bring navigation keys to LHS of alphabet keys.

[1/2] After switching to Colemak which is a smooth transition from legacy qwerty and makes typing less stressful. keyd is the next step towards a customisation layout. keyd enables improvements like oneshot modifier keys, layered layout and I'm still to find out more in keyd.
