We don't want it or need it – and it's not worth the risk!
Say no to #DeepSeaMining and the inevitable & permanent destruction it would cause to the marine environment.
📣Call on your minister to #DefendTheDeep and hit the brakes on this reckless industry. https://t.co/FtfnhjIZMR
The ocean is a lifeline for communities worldwide — it’s critical that we protect this valuable resource. Please ask your company to join @WWF's call for a moratorium on deep-sea mining. ❤️🌊

@ISBAHQ Switzerland is the latest to join a growing group of countries prioritizing the health of our ocean for future generations over short-term profit by calling for a moratorium on #DeepSeaMining.
Who is it going to be next? 🙋

Couldn't agree more. So
@MariaOhisalo@Haavisto
I don't get it: why didn't you join the moratorium on deep sea mining as France, Spain, Germany...and 10 others countries ??

🧵#Norway has called themselves an ocean leader for decades. However, they are now considering opening a huge area - the size of Germany - in the pristine Arctic waters for #DeepSeaMining. This is not ocean leadership, but ocean destruction.
This is what we found, worth a look:
Uncle Sol Kaho'ohalahala offered delegates an Oli, Hawaiian traditional chant. The Oli is about gathering people who have come from very far. "The ocean is our country and we come from the deepest depths of the seas." #StopDeepSeaMining#ISA28
