Our parents’ generation taught us how to survive without much. Our responsibility is to build a Jamaica where our children do not have to prove their resilience by living with less than they deserve.
The mango tree will always be there. The memory of it will always be sweet. But a classroom is not a luxury. It is a promise. And promises should be kept.
We are not demanding miracles. We are demanding that every reasonable effort be made to give Jamaican children the best possible conditions to learn.
That should never be controversial.
It’s not that Keith Lee was purposely being a dickhead or anything close to it. I just dont think Christians know how it sounds when they basically say God was with them and not with someone else in tragedy.
